Up way too late last night…

but I am happy to report this FO:

Pattern: Waving Lace Socks from Favorite Socks

Yarn: KP Gloss Concord Grape

Needles:  This is a looooong story.  See, I thought I was going to have to modify the pattern in some way because my feet are 9.25″ around and the pattern said a finished size of ”7″ foot circumference.”  I thought that 2.25 inches was going to look really bad.  I started out on Inox greys 3mm (29″) and after the scallop I thought I would go down to 2.75mm.  Then I realized how big they were going to be and I went down to 2.5mm Inox Express.  I did the heels and toes on 2.25 Inox greys.

Modifications:  I added my standard ribbing on the bottom to make them fit my feet a bit better.  I think it also helps the socks keep there shape.  Everything else, I think, I followed the pattern on.

Love them!  I wore them to work today and got all the appropriate ohhhhs and ahhhhhs.  Makes me happy!

Oh, and this will be my first entry into the Favorite Socks KAL.

Promise, next post will be about my trip.
