I am a 30-something stay at home non-mom, unless you count my 2 fur-kids (kitties), which I do. I am a complete knit geek! I drive all my friends who aren’t knitters (and some who are) completely crazy. I am married to a wonderful man with whom I enjoy sailing and traveling. Our dream is to one day “throw off the bowlines. Sail away from that safe harbour; Catch the Trade Winds in [our] sails, Explore Dream Discover!”

Sorry I couldn’t figure out how to email you–NO I won’t be signing up again for the STR club, mainly because I love the yarn but haven’t liked the patterns really, they’ve been either too busy or too frou-frou for my tastes. I think I’ll just buy $200-some-odd worth of the yarn a year and be super happy about that instead!

Hey there, just came across your blog! We have plenty in common! I am also a 30-something non-mom, with 3 cats that we love. We have a 40′ sailboat, and we live in the Seattle area. We also plan to someday, pack it all in and sail away, to the tropics and wherever!

I also love knitting but I have been at a very beginner level for about a decade. Nervous to try other stiches and new things, but I want to learn more! I can only make scarves and pieced together afgans! :o )
    Nice to meet you!

Hi there, I found you via Ravelry, in the E.S. knitters group. I am a 30-something mom of one child and 3 cats, and I also love to sail (hence my blog name…). I grew up on the Chester and am living here again for the moment, though I am probably moving (sadly, inland) this summer. Great to ‘meet’ another knitter around here!

I enjoyed reading through your blog this morning! Your photographs are BEAUTIFUL. I have a black and white cat much like your cat. I have no sailbost, but I do love to sail!!

I am an experienced knitter of 40 years. I have been searching for a pattern that is very much like the one you used with the small sailboats and anchors in it. I think you knit a Christmas stocking with it?

Would it be possible for you to tell me where you got that pattern?

I would like to knit it as a scarf for my sister-in-law as a gift. She and her husband go boating all the time from Long Island to Fire Island, New York.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks very much in advance.

Just came across your blog in Ravelry, and have just read the first page, and love it! I’m also living in Maryland, enjoy sailing (out of Baltimore), and love to knit too…..I am a non-mom, but unfortunately, not a stay-at-home kind, and don’t have any kitties yet…. But looking forward to continuing to read and enjoy your blog!
